Responsibilities:

• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
• Manage junior accountants.
• Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule.
• Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
• Assist with internal reviews and external audits to ensure compliance.
• Plan, assign and review team members work.
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS Accounting Standards
• Liaise with our Chief Accountant to improve financial procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Accounting, or equivalent program from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as accountant and 2 years of experience as senior accountant.
• CPA or relevant accounting certification is a plus.
• Proficient in using MS Excel at an advanced level.
• Strong technical aptitude: ability to navigate various computer applications, aptitude to quickly learn KPMG PMS tools and applications used for regulatory reporting and management reporting
• Trustworthy and discreet when dealing with confidential information.
• Strong communication, time management and relationship-building skills
